Rainbow Gradient Saran Wrap and Leopard Print

Posted by Starlett Approved at 12:46 PM 4 comments
Hey there <3!! I got some colorful nails to share with all of you today.  Boy o' boy do I lurve them. Let's just get right to them...shall we?
Don't these just take you back to the 90's? Lisa Frank EVERYTHING, reading The Babysitters Club and watching Are You Afraid of the Dark?  Ah nostalgia :)
I really love Saran Wrap manicures.  They're so easy and the effect it creates is awesome.  I did 2 Saran Wrap manis for the 31 Day Challenge 2.0, you can see them HERE and HERE.  Each time I tried experimenting with the technique.  Using more than one color and treating it as a base for a design. This time was no different.
For this design I wanted a rainbow gradient effect.  It was pretty simple to achieve.  All I had to do was overlap the polishes :) It's been awhile since I've done leopard print on my nails.  Which is weird because I LOVE leopard print, it's why I started doing nail art.  I wanted fierce nails :)
Is there a specific technique or design that got you interested in nail art?

What I Used:
  • Wet n Wild French White Creme
  • Milani Breezy
  • Milani Tropical Fiesta
  • Sally Hansen Hot Yellow
  • Cina Black Nail Art Pen

31 Day Challenge 2.0 Day 17

What up boos?  It's Monday WOOT WOOT.  You must think something is wrong with me.  Who in their right mind gets excited for Monday?  This girl does on THIS Monday lol.  Why? Because I got the most awesome surprise when I got out of the shower today, TMI?  It's nice to know your girl keeps it fresh and so clean clean haha. I WON A GIVEAWAY!!! Hosted by babes Marie of PrettyProject .  I got myself 2 sexy Floss Gloss polishes headed my way!!!!  The icing on the cupcake...it's GLITTER Day baby!  Glitter makes everything 100 times better :).  That's why for todays challenge I used GLEQUINS.
Oh and greetings from Senorita Right Hand.  I wasn't kidding when I said I loved my tribal nails and didn't want to take them off.  So I didn't and decided to finally put some color on my right hand.  Please excuse the awkward hand poses, Righty isn't use to all this attention :).  How sexy is glequins? It's glitters super hot cousin. Oh Sammy of The Nailasaurus thanks for introducing us.
For todays challenge I did some glitter placement on top of saran wrap nails.  Told you I was going to get my saran wrap on again and use more colors ;).  Inspired by my boo Very Emily I had to do glitter frames along with 2 accent nails with a starburst (as I like to call it) glitter design.
The nail polishes I chose for the base design go so perfectly with the glequins.  The color of the glequins shifts from pink, purple, green and blue.  It's just mesmerizing.  I took Micah to the park and he kicked me a couple of times on the swings because I was so distracted by the pretty glequins haha.  If you're a glitter girl like me you NEED to get some glequins from Born Pretty Store.  Sure you might bump into walls staring at your hands but it's worth it lol.

Polishes Used:
Wet n Wild How I Met Your Magenta
Wet n Wild On A Trip
L.A. Girl Turntable

31 Day Challenge 2.0 Day 7

Posted by Starlett Approved at 2:51 PM 0 comments
Yay it's Day 7, by far my favorite challenge theme...Black & White!  These two colors together is EVERYTHING to me.  My wardrobe is 95% black and white. My home is 90% black and white haha.  So naturally I LOVE these nails something fierce!

Blissful Sigh I can stare at these forever :). This was my first time doing the Saran Wrap technique.  I've been wanting to do it forever but just never got around to it.  Plus I kept forgetting to buy Saran Wrap :/.

Before tackling this design I watched Chelsea of GetNailed tutorial to see how it's done. I thought it was going to be a little more complicated.  I love when designs are easier than they look.  Almost as much as I love Ebony & Ivory haha.

Did I mention that I love how they came out?  They look like my dream kitchen.  Black & White marble counters with gold accents.  Now I want a snack, be right back :).  I love a design even more when Mr. Starlett Approved thinks it's cool and shocked that I did it on my nails.  Even if I was sitting next to him the whole time while watching Alphas.
This is my least favorite part of  The 31 Day Challenge.  When I do a manicure I love and can't enjoy it :( because I have to remove it the next day BOOO!

Polishes Used:
  • Wet n Wild Ebony Hates Chris
  • New York Color French White Tip
Thanks for stopping by!! Happy Friday ;) XOXO
